Who we are

The Women’s & Girls Winter Retreat is a Christian nonprofit organization committed to the biblical encouragement and fellowship of women and girls. Its annual retreat, held in Rapid City, SD, is an inter-generational, inter-denominational event that ministers to women and girls. 2026 marks its 28th year!

The retreat is led by an executive committee of volunteers.

Amanda Hadden
Amanda was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia, but their family has called Porcupine, SD home for 13 years. She and husband, Matt, have been married for 20 years, and we have had the privilege to serve alongside one another in ministry all of our marriage. She has four amazing kids; Jacob, Leah, Noah, and Lorence. She is so grateful to be part of Chanku Waste Ranch, an organization serving the Oglala Lakota People, where she currently serves as the Operations Director. She hosts the Good Road Podcast, which seeks to educate listeners on the ministry, its community, and ultimately all that God is doing around us.
Sarah Deible
Sarah is first a redeemed daughter of the Most High King of all kings and also immensely grateful to be called Chad's wife, a mother in multiple untraditional ways, and Lolli to 3 precious grandchildren. Sarah lives and serves on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation where her husband pastors their church, Creator's Fellowship, and she serves as the Camp Director for Chaŋkú Wašté Ranch. She has a passion to speak, teach and write in practical ways to meet people right where they are for the hope that they would come to know the Living God more intimately for themselves.
